Animal control officer "Heidi Blood" gave full marks for the handling of the body of the dead racoon too.

What are the odds that an animal control officer would have that last name? :D

OK, I'm impressed.

Rachel Borch . . . was running on a trail near her home on June 2 when she saw a raccoon charging at her with its teeth bared. She says she tried to avoid it, but knew it was going to bite her, so she held out her hands and it latched onto her thumb. She was able to have the presence of mind to notice a puddle in a swampy area off the trail. Borch grabbed the raccoon, still biting down on her thumb, and held its head underwater until it died. She was then able to run for help.

Theres a word for that. I love how many people end up in jobs that match their names. I always look out for it.

I drove through a country town a couple of weeks ago, past Bones the butcher, Stewart and Lipshut Lawyers, and Robot Mechanical and car sales.

Many years ago while living in St. John's, NL I regularly passed a sign in a mall that said, "Dr. Foote, Podiatrist"...
