The Dems have been trying everything they can think of to try to get Trump to quit.
The narrative before the election was that Trump did not want to be President and just wanted to start a News Network.
So they thought that if they attack Trump everyday he would soon just give up.
But they do not know the man.
When the polls had Hillary ahead, Trump just worked harder and did not give up.
The Result is he won the election.

So far most of the attacks have backfired on the Dems and the American public has noticed.

I wonder if the Dems will ever learn that Trump is here to stay.

The President has yet to even nominate anyone at all for over 400 positions that by law require rubber stamping by his supine Republicans in Congress. He blames this on Clinton (any Clinton), Obama, Democrats, and the news-of-record media.

That's not the behavior of a person who will quit.

That's the behavior of a person who can't even get started.

Really? "Backfired", eh? Here's a bit of real information about 'the American public (https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/?ex_cid=rrpromo), (no effect from Comey's testimony yet.) Folks have certainly noticed something, but maybe not what you think.

Red media / Blue media.

Geng is a useful illustration of the impermeability of the bubbles. Of the notion from Discourse theory that the logic within an individual Discourse can be entirely internally consistent and compelling, and have no significant points of contact with the salient elements of another autonomous Discourse.

Thing is, Discourse theory is descriptive respecting sociological phenomena, but there are actual "facts" and "real life events" out there which are over-arching. Either Trump made tapes of his dinner date with Comey or he didn't. If Trump made tapes, they'll be subpoenaed, and ultimately will enter into the shared, public record. And we will all hear what was said, and who lied about what. And there will be other actual facts obtained through the course of the House, Senate, and Special Counsel investigations, with corroboration, just as there were in the Whitewater and Watergate hearings. It is likely that the Special Counsel investigations will not simply delve into intercepts of conversations with Russians, but also into financial matters which may have been making members of the Trump team vulnerable to Russian influence. The Special Prosecutor will learn "facts" about these things, which so far have been closely guarded by Trump, his associates, business partners and family, and will "follow the money." Not least because money is the cliché lever for foreign power influence, which is what this investigation is seeking to rule in/out.

Those aren't matters of Dems trying to get Trump to quit - they're matters of fact. In a very real way, a way that was obvious to Senators from both parties yesterday at Comey's hearing, those facts aren't partisan, whatever they turn out to be. They'll just be facts.

There are other facts respecting this administration which will turn out to be more partisan, though, in terms of the impacts of policy choices. Either the TrumpCare plan will be passed or it won't. There will be a Republican budget, developed and passed (or not) by the Republican majorities in each house of Congress, and brought to a Republican POTUS for signature. There will be a Republican success or failure in funding/building a wall, in developing and passing substantive tax reform, in managing the debt ceiling, etc. In each an every case, these policy initiatives will/won't be developed by Republican legislators, passed/not passed by Republican majorities in each house with zero bipartisan support, and signed by a Republican POTUS.

While the spin will try to implicate Dems if these initiatives falter, the cold reality is that there's not one of those highly controversial proposals which will ever get a single Democrat's vote in Congress. Not a single vote. Imagining otherwise is ludicrous.

If the Trump Administration moves those pieces of legislation forwards, it will be because Republicans have developed policy which Republican legislators can support, not Dem legislators. And there will be actual, measurable impacts on Americans which will be observed and counted. Factual impacts. Which will be owned by Republicans alone, whether they produce the positive changes Reps claim, or the negative ones others expect.

There will doubtless be "spin", but the spin will be in relation to actual, observable facts.

It won't be about whether the Dems do or don't do all they can to get Trump to quit.

Not surprised, Kelly his handler in the WH and other members of the WH staff wants to keep the idiot busy and what could keep Trump busy? A rally of course; he'll have the audience he wants, those who are more than willing to kiss his boots and he has an opportunity to talk about himself a lot. Otherwise, he'd be in the Oval Office sucking his thumb and screwing someone or something with some Executive Order he signs with a big fat crayon And then, there is golf if he isn't too busy.

Can we inject a little reality ?

Trump's broken promises (lies, actually) sources Kevin Drum and Matt Yglesias . .

"Trump didn’t just promise to build a wall on the Mexican border. He promised to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. That was a lie, and one that he’s never even tried to make good on.
Ditto for tax cuts. He didn’t just promise a big corporate tax cut, he promised to raise taxes on the rich. That was another lie.
Nor did he promise merely to repeal Obamacare, he promised to replace it with something better and cheaper for everyone. Yet another lie.
He promised to break up big banks. He promised price controls on prescription drugs. He promised to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan. He promised that he was committed to upholding clean air and clean water goals. He promised a $1 trillion infrastructure package. He promised $20 billion toward funding charter schools. He promised bigger tax deductions for childcare and eldercare. He promised new ethics reforms. He promised to introduce a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on Congress. He promised a federal hiring freeze. He promised to label China a currency manipulator. He promised a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying for foreign governments. He promised to bring manufacturing jobs back."

Do you know what a bone saw is?

Is it for removing bone spurs?

Well yes, and in that case, hemorrhoids...
