Chekist

The term is still found in use in Russia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia) today (for example, President Vladimir Putin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Putin) has been referred to in the Russian media (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_media) as a "chekist" due to his career in the KGB (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KGB) and as head of the KGB's successor, FSB (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Security_Service)[7] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheka#cite_note-7)).

The Chekists commonly dressed in black leather, including long flowing coats, reportedly after being issued such distinctive coats early in their existence.[8] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheka#cite_note-8)[9] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheka#cite_note-9) Western communists (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communism) adopted this clothing fashion. The Chekists also often carried with them Greek-style worry beads (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worry_beads) made of amber, which had become "fashionable among high officials during the time of the 'cleansing'".[10] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheka#cite_note-10)

There has never been a problem in recruiting such personnel by any regime. We have had a couple of likely recruits on the forum recently.
