This is a bit of an emergency and may well be a great chance to get this boat. Please read the message below--- the boat is on the WBRF list---# 86 at the end of the listings.

Thanks, Bruce Wooden Boat Rescue Foundation.

Dear Bruce,

Attached are pics of the Connie. She is still at the dock at Trump Marina
(Farley State Marina).

I renamed some for clarification purposes.

Following is the best I know about history, distant and recent.

She is gas, twin 454XL's, 400 HP each.
They were both 0 time when I got it.
One was rebuilt 8-9 years ago and never used. The other was rebuilt just in
the last year. There are 2 new alternators, plus 2 good used spares.
The transmissions are Borg Warner in good condition with 1.5" shafts and
bronze props.

She has 10 batteries on board for cranking the engines, power for the ac
inverter and 12 volt power. Most are new. The original onboard charger is
still in place and functional. I added a 1500 watt computer type
charger/inverter to power the AC equipment when at sea.

It has a new 4 cu foot refrigerator in the galley. The original refrierator
has been converted to pantry storage. There is a new microwave in the
galley but not stove top or oven. The galley need a lot of rehab.

There are 2 heads on board. The midship head has a shower stall. Both
stools have been converted to electric with masculator pumps. There is 200
gallons of fresh water storage onboard and a newer electric pump. The
onboard storage tank is new with a new "Y" valve but a pumpout was never
added.

The wiring was in shambles when I got it. I stripped out a lot of the old
obsolete stuff and have started the rewiring process. The Generator set
does not run but has good compression. Needs carb and starter to test
thoroughly. The ac is conpletely functional and the 12 volt DC is at about
80% complete. The flybridge was installed several years ago but never
hooked up or wired. Makes a beautiful observation deck though.

The lower 2 thirds of the hull is very solid. Obviously reworked in recent
years. The top 1/3 is soft and need a lot of wood.

The transom is soft and in need of a lot of repair. When I got the boat it
came with a hard shell New England style "Duck Boat" as a dingy. I got
stuck at sea outside of Shinicock Inlet in the fog for 38 hours and while I
was anchored down the dingy just about sank the Connie. I could not keep it
tied close enough or far enough away to keep it from beating against the
boat. It knocked 2 holes in the transome about the size of basketballs. I
used it as a platform to repair the tramsome and then tried to retie it
alongside one more time. As I was shifting lines on it the bow rings pulled
out and she floated off into the fog. Almost a relief after fighting it all
night in 4 foot seas.

I have 20 pics of different views attaching to this mail.
I will add more to another mail. Too many won't send at one time.

6 dollars per mile to fuel it?
I would guess that boat would go 1/2 mile for every gallon of gasoline.

Prob. the engines are 330 HP each.

Top speed should exceed 30 mph.

Maybe 15-20 gph at a good clip (not top speed).

Thus $50-60 per hour to run--- about what you'd expect for this size of hull.

Plenty of work & money--- not for the faint of heart, or of wallet... :D
