''Ataraxia'' .

Ataraxia (ἀταραξία, "not perturbed") is a Greek (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Greek) term used by Pyrrho (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrho) and subsequently Epicurus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicurus) for a lucid state of robust equanimity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equanimity), characterized by ongoing freedom from distress and worry. The ancient Greek author Sextus Empiricus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sextus_Empiricus) gave this definition: "ataraxia is an untroubled and tranquil condition of the soul." [1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataraxia#cite_note-1) In non-philosophical usage, the term was used to describe the ideal mental state for soldiers entering battle.
