...India's Supreme Court has announced that their national anthem must be played in every movie theater before the start of the movie.

Some things are cheapened when they are over-used. A national anthem is one of those things.

Used to be here once too, I haven't been to a film for two years so I can't say now but i'd guess not.

I worked with a Brit. ex Warrant Officer Grenadier Guards Bandsman.
He never stood forThe Queen, said he'd played it a few thousand times and that was enough.

I remember those days. There was a stampede to get out before the first notes of the Anthem sounded.
