Watch the video. The officer apparently did not get enough respect, escalated a nonviolent situation, and "resigned" after. It was bad behavior followed by the right outcome.

It gives me hope, but I am genuinely worried about interacting with the police these days.

It's not about you Phillip

That video is disturbing and highlights serious issues with how police handle situations.

"The council pushed for criminal charges against Cole, but the district attorney refused, saying he wouldn’t “rehash the same evidence (http://www.greensboro.com/news/local_news/da-won-t-reconsider-cole-decision/article_fdbb54cf-3b20-5993-be65-1139ec9ac3d3.html),” the Greensboro News & Record reported."

Sounds like it's time to find a new district attorney.

Under no circumstances should that officer be allowed to wear a badge on another town's force. He does not have the temperament for the job and he may be a racist as well. Whatever his motivation, his behavior is nothing short of assault.

Made the national news tonight, looks like an easy lawsuit to me.

some cops are out of hand... we need to reinvestigate ALL incidents

Do you have any specific incidents you wish to prioritise? Re-investigating ALL incidents is going to cost trillions and take decades, btw.
