    Busy day at work

In the last 24 hours in my department:
    MD88 Engine Change
    2 MD90 Engine Changes
    757-300 Engine Change
MD90 main landing gear strut replacement
    757 thrust reverser replacements
A large skin repair on an MD88 (will take several days)
MD88 Fan Case Change (have to remove fwd bearing)
    717 engine change
    717 spoiler actuator replacement
MD90 fire detector loop change (requires apu removal)
    MD88 Nose gear retract actuator.

That's just the big jobs. Doesn't include all the include all the incidental stuff that we find during those jobs plus a service check on each aircraft. Typically we work with 20-25 guys (each shift). This crew does incredible work, especially when it's this busy.

    Re: Busy day at work

    Busy, busy indeed.

Told to me by a maintenance officer "The Army maintenance motto: Beat it to fit, paint it to match."

"She'll be ready in the mornin'."

All kidding aside, our ground crews were fabulous. Miracle workers given the conditions.
