I don't want to come across as pedantic, but does it stand for "whacko" or "wing nut"?

Also, while I'm here, is it spelled "whacko" or "wacko".

I'd go with "wacko".

It's the phonetic spelling of Juan Kerr.

It's the phonetic spelling of Juan Kerr.Oh yeah, hadn't thought of that. For some reason that's a word that never made it into the American vernacular.

Wacko, whacko, wanker, weirdo, wimpybrain, whackjob, etc. They all seem to work just fine. I sugges they are almost interchangeable.

i like whako in this case, just because. . . Whako? That's not even a word, is it? It's like a breathy Waco. Like Marilyn Monroe might say it.

"A Right Wing Whako... sweetie."

Anyway, Right Wing Weirdo & Right Wing Wingnut have always been my chosen pair.

Wacko it is.

'Whack' is more like a Mafia hit. So the victim would more correctly be a whackee. ;-)
