To be followed by an Afterglow when you're ready to wind down. :d

Personally, Heady Topper still gets my vote for best meal in a can, but Epiphany is my local fave.

In Devon, England, I drank Speckled Hen at The BlackCock. Lovely little pub it was too.

Today I saw "All Day IPA". That was new for me.

We have a new microbrewery called "Outhouse Ale". I think that name may bite them in the @ss. :)

They're already coming out with some pretty lame names.

Hebrew: the chosen beer
Santa's Butt Porter
Vergina
Tactical Nuclear Penguin
Etc.

My son attended a craft brew tasting at Snohomish WA. He decided that cute names outnumbered tasty brews by a factor of 3.

They're starting to sound like the names for pot varieties.

Down here in the great land called Orstralia we have a beer that is the absolute epitome of "Craft Beer".

They use ingredients selected by virgin angels, who, in their turn, first consult with the brewing gods for their thoughts.

three newborn female children are sacrificed at the start of the process to keep the aforesaid gods on side and to ensure a righteous product.

The name of this nectar of the gods, you ask?

Victoria Bitter, Yes!!! the old V.B.

Mind you I'm full of S**t. V.B. would have to be one of the worst beers ever brewed. They filter it through a goat to give a kick.

It will get you falling down drunk, just like the so-called craft beers, only a hell of a lot cheaper.

I'm halfway to being an alcoholic, only I dont drink anymore.

I'm the same as anyone else who drinks alcohol.

I do it to get drunk.

What makes a lager Mexican if it's made in Texas? Is there a flavor component that is unique to Mexico?

My favourite Mexican beers, Negra Modelo, Bohemia, and Dos Equis, are all really Vienna style lagers. And all three were originally brewed by Austrian or German immigrants to Mexico.

Most of them have corn, rice or some other adjunct in the grist to lighten the body. The yeast they use accentuates the malt flavor but still gives a fairly dry beer.

In the spirit of this thread I did some research. I am planning a bicycle trip to the town south of us next month who have a brewery called Big Beaver Brewing Co. We have been riding to a different brewery out of town once a month.

I'm not sure some of the beer names are fit to print on the electrons of this Victorian bilge.

Amber was her stage name

Bust a nut brown ale

shaved tail ale

whiskey dick stout

wonder wiener wheat

stubble stout

That is not the complete list, some are rather benign, others NSFW.

This months trip took us to High Hops brewery, the suma sipa Guava IPA was a big hit. They seem to spend more time growing hops than naming beers though.

The IPAs’ have been kicking my ars ..delicious , little too strong ... I like to be able to slam a couple beers when thirsty without losing my drive.I’m hoisting a Blue right now..clean refreshing taste of Canadian Vacations. I’ll try and limit it to 2 so I can maybe get out on the lake in something.I’m thinking Laser. Where the hell are the storms?
