"Given one rib, I could build a
canoe around it - that's no problem."

I'm sure Rollin could, but would it be the same canoe?

BTW - that damage looks intimidating, but isn't too bad. The worst of it is dealing with the inwales.

Given one rib, I'd get into a BBQ poker game and turn it into two racks, in short order.

An old friend used to build wood and canvas canoes with his father, very old-school, all painted red or forest green.

While they were paddling the outlet of Big Springs, near Yellowstone, a moose spooked out of the willows and fled, stepping in the middle of their canoe

Great excitement as the moose tried to pull its foot loose, leaving a big hole. The canoe sank like a stone, but they dragged it out and fixed it.

No pickies, alas!

The moose had a story it could eat out on for weeks. :D

Yup, and she's been nagging ever since.
