        glass beach, california
used to be the town dump, what remains is the weathered broken glass

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

Locally we have mud or rock, not much in the way of sand.

My local beach, famous for it's sunsets. Shallow and very tidal.

Glan Don beach, Pwllheli, just outside the harbour. less than a mile from the centre of town.

Ain't much glass left. It's quite something to see Though. When I was living in Fort Bragg it was common for tourists to take bagfuls of it. One individual was known to fill multiple trash bags. She used the glass to make jewelry. As it's part of McKerricher Sate Park the California Parks system eventually placed a ban on removing glass from the beach, but I don't know if it's enforced or made a difference.

My recent visit to Porquerolles France three days ago.... Had the best 6 B's. Beach, boats, babes, boobs, bikinis and beer. Yes beer... Which was draft delivered by vendors with rafts holding kegs, dispensers and large ice boxes. They served a blonde French beer ice cold for 3 euros and ice cream for the kids. Not bad on 35c days!

Without friends none of this is possible.

My local, gets crowded, but it's great at sunrise and in the shoulder seasons.
