Do you think Hillary will have a press conference soon?

Hillary has not given a press conference for almost 8 months. (Dec 4th 2015).
Since then she has slowly dropped in the polls against Trump.
Trump is calling her out and challenging her to hold one.

Hillary is in a bad position.
If she keep avoiding doing press conference
    1. Trump will continue to stay in the headlines with his message.
    2. Risk looking scared to take questions
    3. Keep slowly dropping in the polls.

If she decided to do a press conference
    1. There press will have 8 months of built up questions and she will get hammered on many different subject.
    2. Making a mistake during the press conference
    3. Risk dropping even faster in the polls.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager has a strange sense of humor. He burst out laughing when asked Wednesday if Clinton would hold a press conference before the election. Robby Mook’s odd reaction c…

The elite press does not want her to do a press conference. They don't want to risk their own position by having to ask the questions that will be necessary to maintain their journalistic credibility. It is amazing to live in an America where the elite press DOES NOT demand that the powerful present and answer questions in facilitating a more informed public.

Well she did a very controlled mini press conference and she still have a hard time.

Title: Clinton admits she may have 'short circuited' answers on email controversy
Hillary Clinton attempted to clarify Friday recent misleading statements about her use of a private email server at the State Department, saying she "may have short-circuited" her answers about it.

She won't do a press conference as longs as her campaign thinks there's no need to do one That will last as long as Trump continues to self-destruct and his attacks on Clinton continue to come off as the ravings of a lunatic. As long as he does so, there's absolutely no reason for Clinton to expose herself to the press.

            It's called "good campaign strategy".

No, she probably won't. That's conventional electoral strategy at this point, but too often morphs into execrable governance practice.

Rule #1 of campaigning: when your opponent is bent on self-immolating, don't distract him.

Rule #1 of governing: you are a civil servant, and owe them accountability.

The real reason why she has not done a press conference.

Re: Do you think Hillary will have a press conference soon?

She's done hundreds - literally hundreds - of different one-on-one and small group press interviews. Some of these are TV show puff pieces like a late night show drop by, but most were substantive and give the journalist an opportunity to ask substantive questions rather than shout for fifteen seconds of notice for the reporter and 30 seconds of forgettable canned crud.

It takes but a little google to find out what Clinton stands for and only a little more to get a few legitimate and many overstated critiques of her positions from both left and right. Since no one knows what Trump's actual positions are, all we can go on are his insane bullet points.

Press conferences tell us little about a candidate's substance though they can tell us a bit about his or her ability to handle stress. But then, you want stress, just spend time chatting with the FBI or a witch-hunting congress. I think we've got it on that difference between the cowardly little-handed bully and Clinton.

So you think a presidential nominee should not answer questions from the press?

Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Ian pointed out that Clinton has answered questions posed by the press many, many times:
