A reflection of the hubcaps on the Rolls parked next to it.I can not recall the last time that I was present when someone confused bullet holes with Rolls Royce hubcaps

A lovely car, completely ruined by that stupid stripe.

I like how the center of the stripe continues up onto the windscreen!

They weren't exactly a powerhouse... 0 to 50 mph in 10 seconds would see it dragged off by my Yamaha scooter

To put it into context,up to the mid 70's any car that could do 0-60 in less than ten seconds was regarded as pretty rapid in British terms.Additionally, you would get wet very regularly sitting on your scooter in British weather.

Yeah... I'd swap the Yammie for it.

Incidentally, when it came back from the US, it's auction estimate, before it was withdrawn was IIRC 30-40k quid. A quick respray and a value-added stripe, and possibly a bit more.... and it was back at Bonhams at 150-200k. I don't know how much was spent, nor how much it made.

I guess it was just lucky to have survived it's American experience without being upgraded with a 39 hp / litre V8

That's a Gooda (http://fabwheelsdigest.blogspot.com/2013/06/1954-bentley-r-type-gooda-special-coupe.html) Bentley.

I have heard British racing green described as 'the colour of your soul with a tinge of envy'.
