Since we moved here we have been Hiking every week, bike riding, swimming, going to the gym. Renee just entered and finished her first 5K. We are getting in SoCal shape.

Odd, I envisioned you busily trying to convince everyone you met how much better New York is.

Glad you're enjoying it. Everyone should go there, soak up the ambiance for 25 years or so, then get a life. ;)

People do notice I have a little accent, but they find it endearing LOL :)

All that sweaty health crap is fine, but let's not get carried away with the Californication.

Kick back with the blinds down and air con turned up and sip some beers, while watching The Big Lebowski. Or Repo Man.

Cultural activities count.

The joy of discovering a Mediterranean climate! It's great, you're having fun, and you can't believe that you ever put up with the cold, and the damp, and the snow. Put Steely Dan's "Babylon Sisters" loud on the car stereo and drive along the coast.

Cover up though, Mohs surgery isn't much fun.

Yeah? When I moved there from NJ I never quite got that vibe. Of course, Joe don't surf. That may be the difference.

He don' wanna surf. If he wanted to, he'd kill it.

(Surfing is a lot more fun than running, which I think is the most boringest activity on earth.)

A lifetime ago I lived in the back of a '68 Montego convertible with a buddy, Jim Thomas. We met working as waiters and he said to me "Joey, YOU got ""SURFER ATTITUDE"" So he taught me how to surf and we spend 3 years bumming up and down the east coast surfing. I even surfed Hurricane Gloria off Cape Hatteras :arg

Last time I saw Jim was 1989 in San Francisco he was the lead singer and guitarist for a band called the Mermen http://www.mermen.net/jim.shtml. We were driving home after surfing under the Golden Gate Bridge when the EARTHQUAKE HIT.
