Sounds cool alright. At least, for folks your age and mine ... ;) I'll be watching.

I remember my deep yawning boredom with my parents' generation talking about the Big Bands, and the versions of popular music they'd made which were such cataclysmic breaks with the past. Music does reach us, connect with us. Especially when we're teens becoming adults, it forms the soundtrack of the memories in each of our lives at a time when our lives are perhaps being experienced the most vividly.

But I dunno if it's more "important" than popular music in the mid 19th century, or now.

While music is important to the young 'uns today, in the 60s it was everything.

My original granddaughter is 13. She listens to everything except country.
Her iPad has Adele,Ella and Louie, Hall and Oates, Glenn Miller on and on.

Of course, dad is a professional musician.
