"230-foot long replica of Noah’s Ark collided with a Norwegian Coast Guard vessel as it arrived in Oslo, Norway on Friday, causing damage to both ships."

Did Noah have a steel barge as a base hull? Metal roofing?

I think it was time for that fiberglass batt insulation to get a little airing out, anyway.

Beyond stupid.

Some other maroon just built another 'replica' in the wilds of the southern US, just glimpsed a news item about that the other day.

If the earth flooded, where did all the water go? Just asking. . .

Thank god for the fender placement, otherwise that could have caused some damage.

I'm pretty sure Bolger would have drawn that ship without any sheer, which would've greatly simplified the planking, possibly even to the extent of using large sheets of plywood.

What would you expect, with a giraffe for a lookout?

06-12-2016, 08:59 AM
Imagine what they could have done with the money used to build that monstrosity? A shame really.

If you look at that first pic, it's clear this is really a steel barge with a wood structure on top of it. Is this going in the ocean? I think some barges can do that. No idea if this is of that variety.
