This is a question of best technique to use. The boat I'm building(Catbird 16)has an inner and outer stem, with the side panels fastened to a bevel on the inner stem. The boat is hybrid (stitch and glue, but with frames), so nearly everything is epoxied together. I'm reluctant to epoxy the side panels to the inner stem, however, because it's a bit more vulnerable and might have to be replaced someday (what does this say about my sailing skills?) http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/smile.gif. Advice would be appreciated - perhaps using 3M 5200 adhesive or a bedding compound? Should the same apply to the bedlogs and centerboard trunk being fastened to the bottom?
