I recently purchased a wooden boat manufactured by HIGGINS out of N. Orleans USA. The model no is B12A And the serial no is 6456. I would like to find out approx year or any other info about the boat.

That would be Higgins Industries. They built 85% of the vessels used in WWII. Primarily the LCVP "Higgins boat"

Higgins made a number of recreational boats after WWII. You might contact the folks at The Higgins Classic Boat Association: http://www.higginsclassicboats.com/

Glenn,

What are you doing up at 3 AM on Saturday morning? Watering your yard during this drought? Beating this heat by working on your boat at night? Not a bad idea ! http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/biggrin.gif
