I've got Interlux Bottomcote antifouling paint in green(code 559), but would really like it darker in colour. Phoned the help line to see if adding a small amount of the Bottomcote black would do it. Their stock answer of course was don't do it because it would void the warranty. I'll probably stick with their advice but I might be willing to take the chance if there is practical experience out there that it's been tried and it worked. It will be going over primed epoxy. Any comments?

I am planning to make two bottom paints next spring.

I plan to mix red and blue west marine bottomshield to make purple and shark white and red biolux to make pink. I will let you guys know next spring if it works or not.

this is for my little brother's boat... the best practicle joke I could think of. sneak into the boat yard late at night and paint the bottom of his boat pink and purple the morning before it's launched!!!! smile.gif
