I cannot believe how Manchurian Candiate Marco Rubio is, and how Chris Christie is eviscerating him. Wow.

I also am stunned at how hawkish they are about North Korea. Like they have no idea of how much damage the N Koreans could do to South Korea. And they are almost all unilateral in their viewpoint. Scary folks.

Trump was just asked a question about getting rid of Obamacare, she asked him what he would replace it with..
We're gonna submit such a great plan, it's going to be the greatest! We have people dying on the streets because they don't have healthcare.

That's his solution.

This has been informative so far. Scary as hell, but informative. I must say, I didn't feel contempt for Rubio until tonight. He is more slickly packaged than a bag full of bon bons.

Chistie just nailed Rubio about not fighting for something in Fla., just because the public doesn't like it. Christie says, if you propose (immigration) and the people don't like it, you don't run away.

Back to Trump. Eminent DEMAIN he loves it, will do that but, people who lose their land to build a bridge or highway will be fair market price
Bush. You are and never had used Eminent Domain for public use. You take it to build a parking lot of the casino.
Trump comes back on hearing the audience clap loudly:

Oh look Bush supporters who paid money for tickets to attend this, you don't hear people clapping because my supporters didn't pay for any!

Another gem. bring jobs back from China. Give cops more tax breaks,

Rubio on conservatism 3 things including stronger military. taxes, give breaks to the middle class and the poor and allow the one percenters to keep their money. Hey, if you're poor, you don't pay taxes.

I think maybe Rubio has peaked. Empty suit.

We agree with that. Solution, if this happens, if that happens then we will do this and that. All rely on if's. What happens if there is no "if" Do they have the same book and are following it? None seem to have the slightest clue with the politics in the Middle East. Syria is gonna be our friend, it's up to them to fight ISIS.

RonW must be eating this up!:)

I was thoroughly entertained by Christie.

I was thoroughly entertained by Christie. Yup, he said he raised taxes on the 1%ers in NJ and then said, his predecessor did.:(

Trump, police and racism, what should be done to bridge the divide.

Trump, we see this so often the media is at fault, we need to give them respect.Solutions, none!

So far if I was scoring the debate , I would have to give it to either Christie or Kasich . Kasich because of his record , and Christie because he is just too damned entertaining . Very disappointed in Trump tonight . So far

Entertainment doesn't win elections! Cruz, Rubio, Trump lived up to my expectations. Kasich hasn't spoken enough to form any opinion. Carson has made a few points even giving a solution to Zeta.

Did you notice Christie talked about Planned Parenthood as if it had been indicted and convicted? Carson, I think, talked as if Hillary's been found guilty of something on Benghazi. Most of what they want to do with ISIS seems basically what Obama is doing, and they all talk as if we are much worse off than we were when Obama took office.

And for all of these the audience cheered.

the first responders seem to be all democrats except for one mugwump who sits on the fence with his mug on one side and his wump on the other side and don't know which way to fly :)

Kasich did himself some good. And Christie scored some points. John Ellis did OK, but I still think he is emblematic of the past. Cruz did not do himself any favors, and Rubio was cruelly exposed. As for Carson, meh.

I stand by my signature.

The Responders, who think they are first Responders never showed up. We had more interest in seeing what they say, than the Republicans do, rather sad really.

I caught a bit, channel surfing. Of any, it sure looked like Christie was the most together.

I heard Carson on the Zika virus too - and he sounded measured and competent, looking very happy to be on turf he understood very well. Trouble is, he sounded there rather like a Dem, all grounded in evidence, facts, and confident in the CDC's competence. It's good medicine, but probably poor politics with the base.

I wonder how Kasich holds up when he reaches the point of scrutiny. He went from being the 'architect' of balancing the budget to being a player.

My recollection is NO Republicans voted for the '93 budget that led to balancing the budget. I also remember bob Novak on "Capital Gang" being angry that the Republicans gave Clinton his budget even as they were impeaching him.

Kasich talks about saving his state money, but he does not mention he expanded Medicaid, which saved his state money.

He talks about job growth, but does not mention how his state benefited from the auto industry rescue.

It's a bit interesting to see them talk about Obama as if we are all much worse off than when he took office. It's like they are in total denial of facts.

Christie is good at debating. Meanwhile, back in his state of NJ..........he's not so popular.

In an unintended way, his words should help Hillary. He makes a point that governors have better experience in actually making decisions (his haven't been all that good). If we extrapolate from this, governors have no experience with foreign policy.

I don't know why any of those people feel they can do better than Barack Obama did

They lie about how Obama did.

Remember back in 2000 how a large piece of the GOP argument was Bill Clinton had destroyed the military? Then we invade two countries and the job that destroyed military did got nothing but praise.

S.V. Airlie

If they actually tell the truth about anything, they would be lying.
