We are being barraged with poll numbers from Iowa. Lots of folks think that Iowa voters will go to the polls, their minds made up.

What will happen, is that small groups of Reps and Dems will meet in people's living rooms, and will come up with a consensus in each precinct about which candidate will get that particular precinct's delegate. There will be discussions in each of those ( nearly 2000) living rooms. Cruz supporters will convince Trump supporters that only Cruz is electable. Then those delegates will move on to the county convention, and those county delegates will move onto the state convention.
Trump will lose, and will become absolutely apoplectic, will proclaim the stupidity of Iowans, and will move into O'Reilly's time slot on FOX.

These are mini parties, it's not a true primary when people go to the polls. No candidates, by law, or anyone pushing their candidates are allowed to campaign closer than what, 100 feet? It is just good for the winners down the road, a media bump.

That's why it's NOT called the Iowa Primary.

It's a bunch of caucuses. If not, why is it called the Iowa Primary, because it's first?
