I must say this story put a smile on my face.

It could not happen to a more deserving guy.

I'd bet a lot that the fellow's a sociopath, born lacking a conscience.

the region his parents came from seems to produce a disproportionate number of sociopaths

"Shkreli is the son of Albanian and Croatian Jewish immigrants, and grew up in a working-class community in Brooklyn, New York."[1] Wiki

OK.

That's the way I remember him too, Phillip. This aught to wipe the smirk off his face.

Define "disproportionate" Phillip. You love asking others for definitions so much, produce one yourself

Minutes after Shkreli’s arrest on charges of securities fraud, his attorney, Harland Dorrinson, announced that he was hiking his fees from twelve hundred dollars an hour to sixty thousand dollars. - Borowitz

Judge Judy Scheindlin seems to be the worst of them.I still want to know from what Phillip wrote; what is disproportionate? Of course he refuses to answer and runs away to pout..

Back to karma......

When his greed popped up on the radar and he got his 15 minutes of coverage, his whole smarmy attitude reeked of something 'awkward' that would happen to derail him. He seemed just too repulsive and undeserving of success to merit entrance into the autocracy.

And so it came to pass. But before celebrating this tiny victory too much it pays to remember that this is America where memories are short and greed is king. You never know but he could be back. Certainly, there are more like him out there. Take Big Pharma for instance.......

He's such a punk. I hope he does some real jail time in a real jail.

This is also the punk who bought the sole copy of Wu-Tang Clan's last album, Once Upon A Time in Shaolin, for $2 million.

He is a schmuck, who gives free-market capitalism an even worse reputation than it has.

I hope the evidence finds him guilty, that he has to sell his companies to pay for his defense, and that the new owners are more compassionate in their pricing.

So, no definition to disproportionate?

I was just reading where half the world's population and one quarter of the US has toxoplasmosis, the problem that Daraprim addresses. For the most part, symptoms are no more than a mild flew. The few who get the worst of it have serious problems. It's the classic orphan drug - not enough patients to make a big profit.

The FBI perp walked him past the media and I'm picturing a con in jail with a mother who has it. This may be interesting.

Evidence will be required I'm sure, but jail time has been earned with it or without it. I hadn't thought of him as a sociopath (more like a turd) until reading posters here calling him out as such, but I find it an apt description. Heartless, soulless bastid.

I hadn't thought of him as a sociopath (more like a turd)One can be both a sociopath and a turd. They go well together, in fact.

But does the region his parents are from have more or less turds than other regions?
