Another couple of examples of what happens if you put today's Republican party in charge --

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) quietly signed two pieces of legislation Wednesday that dramatically alter the election and campaign finance landscape in the state.

The first new law dismantles the nonpartisan Government Accountability Board -- an independent elections and ethics panel -- which has been held up as a national model (http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/scott-walker-has-signed-bill-dismantling-gab-bill-s-sponsor/article_1b7a6063-8e98-514b-bceb-269f21f44574.html) because it's run by six former judges rather than partisan political appointees.

In its place will be two different commissions overseeing ethics and elections, ran mostly by partisan appointees (http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/govt-and-politics/scott-walker-signs-campaign-finance-gab-bills-in-private-ceremony/article_19e6a800-01d6-5e88-9625-646db869a022.html) put in place by the governor and legislative leaders.

The second law relaxes campaign finance rules (http://www.nbc15.com/home/headlines/Bill-rewriting-campaign-finance-law-subject-of-hearing-332368402.html), doubling the limit for individual contributions, eliminating the requirement that donors must identify their employer and allowing corporate donations to political parties and legislative campaign committees.

Walker held no public ceremony for these dramatic changes, signing the bills in a private event (http://www.startribune.com/governor-signs-law-eliminating-elections-board/362659021/). The Associated Press noted that news of the signings came from a tweet from the author of the GAB legislation. Walker's office later put out statements confirming what he had done.

The pirates are in charge of their treasury, and the crooks in charge of their government. But they are elected crooks even if the electorates are gerrymandered all to hell.

The noble history of Wisconsin progressivism as lived by such great Republicans as Fighting Bob La Follette has been betrayed by those who voted in these lackeys of wealth.

I find it difficult to know if he is a man with an agenda or just a tool who drank the Kool-Aid.

Either way, he seems to be a disaster.

He is a whore who swallows the entire narrative whole, because he is well-paid to do so. He has no thoughts of his own... just strategy and tactics to keep his masters happy, and the money stream flowing. He may have predisposed to the teabagger philosophy... but that's only a small part of it now.
