If you'd like to see a movie that has no guns, car crashes, foul mouthed fools, crime, or drugs; yet tells a wonderful story with a beginning, middle, and end, go see "Brooklyn",

If you are Irish or Italian, or know someone who is, go see "Brooklyn".

I agree, I'm American but I still want to see it.

Odd, did I lead you to believe Americans wouldn't want to see it?

^ Jim, I think he took your reference to " Irish and Italians" to mean citizens iof those countries rather than US Citizens of Irish or Italian descent.

Here's what Brooklyn looked like from the air the other night. Fuhgeddaboutit

Teachers always asked me if I was from Brooklyn. And this was in NJ.

All the priests and cops Wuz either Eyetalian or Irish..

Notice I did not use the labels we used for these groups as some panty waist lib would turn me in..

O well another day goes by.

I would like to see it. Heard the interview with Ms. Ronan on NPR.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Some of the signs actually state that. Others state, " Believe the Hype" and " How Sweet It Is."

Saw it yesterday....yes a bitter sweet story about an immigrant, gaining a footing in a new land- I would think anyone could identify with that

From the south it's easy. From Sandy Hook head over Prospect Park. Then look for the big Maspeth gas tanks (big red lights on top). Take a right over the LIE, them a left over Flushing Meadows park. Swing around Shea Stadium and LGA is off to your left. :)

Seriously, in good weather that's how we do it...
