I am reconstructing an older fishing boat and converting it to a 1930's style cruiser. My intention is to use a 671 GM. from another boat. My problem is that it used a dry stack for exhaust and I want to convert it to a wet exhaust. Are there any sites or is there any information available? My only experience is with my small Volvo one lunger which had a wet muffler by a company called Vetus or Vetese, not sure. The manifold is already water cooled but were to go from there????

Contact your local Detroit Diesel dealer or just about anyplace that handles marine parts.
The 6-71 is an extremely popular engine in almost any application and has been used extensivly in marine since WW 2. I bet that within 5 or 6 calls you can find all the parts you need. This is like buying parts for a Chevy.

The detroit 671 is an engine that is normally wet exhaust.
You need to provide a raw water intake, design and weld up a properly sized water injected elbow, and then lead that to a water lift muffler. THe 671 will require a good sized muffler, probably larger than anything vetus makes. The line from this would be led out to the transom.
You need a welded, heat shield wrapped line from the engine to the water injected elbow, and from there you can use wet exhaust hose to the muffler and subsequently to the transom.
Edited for P.S: You will need some sort of water pump either on the engine or separately to bring water into the water injected elbow.
