This will get interesting, if true. (http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/609757/Putin-ISIS-Islamic-State-Syria-Raqqa-troops-soldiers-air-strike-jets-military)

If the US put a large number of troops into Syria, they'd be fighting Syrian military as well as ISISL. The Kurds, seemingly would be with us, but would Turkey?
If the Ruskis go in, Assad would be a support, but would the Kurds?

It's like peeling an onion.

Obama and Putin had an informal meeting yesterday it seems. I'm sure the situation was discussed, it is not in the interests of either State for a clash, even an accidental one, to occur.

If US and Russia troops were both fighting in Syria a clash is an inevitability.

Well we already have Russians running airstrikes on all rebels, not just the 'bad' ones, and doesn't the US does have a small number of advisors on the ground helping the 'good' rebels? Soooooo..........what could possibly go wrong?
