I was interested in ordering the new issue of Small Boats until I got to the end and found that mailing was nearly as expensive as the magazine. Kind of a ripoff. I will wait until it is on the news stand and pay the $9+ cover price rather than the $15+ mag and shipping.

A pint of Craft beer here is 6 bucks. Just saying.

The Small Boats annual is a fat magazine, too heavy to mail via USPS First Class to US addresses, so it has to mail via Priority Mail, and therefore the postage higher. By all means, please do pick it up on the newsstand!

Cheers,

Scot

the $15+ mag and shipping.

:arg Good heavens! It only costs a little more to post it all the way to Kiwiland!

I guess it must be my age. Trouble is, I can remember 5 cent cups of coffee, penny post cards, and 27 cent gallons of gas. Prices always surprise me. You'd think I'd get used to it, but, you know, an old dog...

It's always worth it and it's only once a year.

Its worth it all day long. I must re-read my SB issues at least once a year.

Now, it cost me 85 bucks for four of us to go to the movies last week. Talk about prices.
