I lowered ours to half mast position at 6:40am when I came down to fix breakfast for the munchkins... They fly on the two position brackets on the porch posts. Oh, the second flag is a Maryland flag, which elicits some comments since we actually live in Virginia!

The President ordered all federal flags to be at either half-mast all day, or the half-til-noon, I'm not sure which.

I did the half-til-noon thing.

I missed that announcement. But, having heard the flag was at half mast at the Texas capital, I assumed the president had done so. Whew, what a day.
