It took a bit of digging to find it (not the best website design...) but this page has a bit more detail on the device, which does look interesting, if somewhat lacking in character:

Lacking in character--how kind of you. Actually, it's the other two devices on the page that are of more interest to me. You?

A year ago, I installed a Wallas SafeFlame combination cookstove and cabin heater. It runs off of diesel from a small tank but could be plumbed into the main diesel tank. I think of the spare tank as an emergency back up. The heater is activated when the lid is put down. It puts out 7000 BTU, plenty for me. The cookstove has dual elements with no exposed flame. All combustion is vented out and the intake actually works as a dehumdifier. Ignition is piezo-electric so no pilot light, etc. It cost more than a cookstove but less than a stove and cabin heater (which I did not have)and the "footprint" in the cabin is about as good as it gets! I installed it myself so you know it has GOT to be easy.

Here is a link to the stove at the store in Seattle where I got mine:

Tim,

Thanks for your thoughts on the Wallas cook-top/heater. I had clipped an ad for this unit as I plan on needing one in about two years and it looked to fit the bill. Your comments confirm that.
