Wow this is something. I would draw your attention to the work of an Irish Painter, a great one, in my opinion, creator of some of the finest portraiture to come out of the British Isles, of course I speak of William Orpen, 1878-1931 In 1900 he painted the likeness of one Augustus John. Look on Wiki to find it. Hauntingly similar to the pic shown here.

great color and light...

but I call "shenanigans!" there's no way two guys could be perched on the rail of such a narrow boat in such light wind! :)
