Thanks to all who provided me with advice during this project! I really appreciated being able to ask all my dumb questions. Considering this was my first boat project, I am very pleased with the results. Here is a link to a few before and after photos: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291677351&congratulation_page=Y

Very NICE! 'Course, now you're going to have to take her out and see what she can do..... but a beautiful boat nonetheless!

45, an interesting year it seems.
Looks true and salty.
To be rowed only?

Greg: Nice work. I see a completely restored forties-ish outboard in your future. There's got to be a million of them in garages in Wis.
Also, is that a builder's plaque on the breasthook showing in the before pics ?

Hi Paul:
I have a 1930's ish Evenrude 3 hp motor to restore next, I think it will go well with the boat. It is in pretty good shape but needs alot of polishing up before I have a mechanic get it running.
The plaque you see on the 'breasthook" says that the boat was manufactured by Thompson Boat Co in Peshtigo Wisconsin. One of the nice folks on this board emailed me a scan of the page from the Thompson catalog that nailed it down as a 1945 Thompson Zepher.
