does anyone have experience with the "Precision Temp Shower-Mate" brand of hot water heater. in our last yacht we had a Paloma brand hot water heater. very good product but parts are no longer available here in Australia and the unit was much larger than the Precision Temp in any case.

Hope this helps.

I have the smallest paloma. It's much better than a cold shower. Is there a good way to regulate the temperature? It seems to fluctuate quite a bit.

thank you for your help. we didn't even think to look on the www for Paloma!
on our last unit we did have some trouble too getting it 'just' right but perhaps a pressure regulator may fix the problem..otherwise we found it's just a matter of tweaking the temp setting.

I'll be putting another Rheem domestic unit back in Grantala. I pulled the previous 80 litre 3600watt unit out whilst re-doing the engine room. The manufacturing date showed it to be over ten years old and it was still working fine. I intend upgrading to the 4800 watt version, given the genset is 8.5kVa. At just over $500, this is miles in front (like a third the cost or better) than any marine unit I've seen so far.

My Paloma still works fine, but I looked up the "shower mate" on line and it seems pretty impressive.
