Building a mahogany runabout. Looking for the hide-um that hides the monel staples that are used to fasten the cloth material over the foam padding aroundthe cockpit openings. Anyone? respond here or email me direct. Thanks, mitchell in CT

You need to get a book on re-upholstery from the library. They will show you the proper way to tension the foam packing before overlaying the outer layer of material. They will also show you the various ways in which an upholsterer hides those staples.
Barring that, I would suggest that you consider a small piece of bright finished trim around the edges.

mitch, a good upholserer can easily make as much hidum as you need. if you can't find someone i know one in flint mich who can. he does alot of boats.
