Ian..just ship them 4th class book rate, and by the time they get there, you will have forgotten entirely about thm, and will have a nice surprise.

But you're right about the cost -- I had a load of free PBO back-copies sent out from the UK a year or so ago, and the cost was horrendous.

There is an cheap international postal rate for printed matter. There is a minimum cost and a maximum weight per consignment.

Australia Post does not advertise it here very well.

Check with your local postal authority for international printed post.

We sent books to Central Asia at about $A3.00 /Kg.
