Storm damage? Can't imagine 60 year old trees being removed for much less.

So, what else do you see from your kitchen window Phillip? Worth investigating I'm sure!:)

I went through the tree guys yesterday. They removed my magic 40" DBH Black Locust. It was quite a project. The diesel stump grinder was the most impressive machine they used. What a beast!

A Vermeer masterpiece?

An antique Vermeer. It wasn't even yellow any more...just rust-colored, and slinging a 24" cutting wheel. I had to get my ear muffs as well as my goggles, just to watch it from 50' away, but it ate that stump in nothing flat.

I'm going to have to dig all the stuff out and compost it. It'll be a couple of years before I can use it for soil.

Mill it with bead and coves and build a kayak.
