We know that a lot of you Forum people are also regulars on WoodenBoat’s popular Facebook page, so you may be well aware that we have reached 100,000 LIKES. If you are one of the hundred thousand, then Thanks!

Or maybe you don’t do Facebook and you don’t realize that WoodenBoat’s page reached this cool milestone this week, so we thought we would mention it here.

We got 100,000 LIKES on Facebook and we are pretty chuffed.

Check it out!

Look for woodenboat, in one word.
not wooden boat, wooden goat or boatwoody.

Phil: There is a link to WoodenBoat Publications' FB page on www.woodenboat.com or try this: https://www.facebook.com/WoodenBoatPub?ref=hl
WBP FB is not the same as WB Forum FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/45928256385/?pnref=lhc

Hmmm 2 wb Facebook pages. That just gets complicated. Is one of them some kind of monetised scam where a freeloader makes money using WBs name?

Lots of new folks joining regularly.

Yes David, even young teenage friends of mine. They love WB's Facebook page and look forward daily to the regular postings and photos about wooden boats. They have the spirit of the sea and that's nice to see.

It's just like here, except with likes.:d

Hi Jim,

It looks like you posted your photo on the smaller Forum Facebook Page, run by a Forum member.
Try posting your photo on the real WoodenBoat Facebook Page, run by long time staff member, Pat Lown, and you may get thousands of LIKES from strangers around the world.

https://www.facebook.com/WoodenBoatPub

The WoodenBoat Facebook page has 108,000 LIKES now.

Thousands, you say? Well, I'll try it, but it's gonna have to wait till I work up some new material. Nobody wants to look at ancient history.

I wish the forum and the facebook page could communicate more. Maybe something on the forum to alert Pat to relevant stuff, and maybe a "what's happening on facebook" link on the forum.

Not a really formed idea, but there should be synergy, and it might make Pat's life easier.

We are working on this!

Pat Lown is a gifted communicator, and if you don't see the cool stuff that she puts up on WoodenBoat Facebook page every day, you are missing some great wooden boat news from around the world.

In September, Woodenboat will have a new digital presence, and we hope the Forum will be part of it.

Gareth-- I agree and Queene has been thinking the same. Synergy needed and welcome! Everyone should always feel welcome to share a link/news/photo on WBFB. https://www.facebook.com/WoodenBoatPub
