Can anyone recommend a thickness planer for me?
I will be building anything from small craft to 40 foot cruising boats. I have reviewed alot of specs by the different makers but I want to see what other folks have experienced working with them. I am considering a 15" planer. Let me know if you feel a larger planer would be needed as well as where, when and why.
I have alot of information at this point but before I put my money down, I want to beat a dead horse for at least until I am certain what I am buying with the knowledge that it will serve my needs for years to come. Also, I would prefer not to go outside my shop to get those few large pieces planed by another shop.
