Am looking for a source to get a replacement lens for a brass navigation light. It is from a 1961 American Commercial Bristol Bay gillnet boat. The bronze housing is tear drop shaped, 3" long with a single color lens that is about the size of a half ping pong ball. Cast into the bronze are the letters "CW"...no other legible markings.

Any ideas? Thanks

Port, the C W is WC wilcox Critenden of Boston or near, now out of business, defunct, taken over or Who Knows. If this is tear drop shaped, it may be the red or green? lense. With more detaled info, someone like Minneys in Newport Beach, CA or some of the other marine recyclers available through the net. might be able to help, or possibly a Perko plastic lense might do till you can find the correct one used, glass is forever till it breaks, plastic gets cloudy or worse in time. Luck, cbob

Thanks for the information regarding the manufacturer and the information regarding the machine recyclers.

Actually the lenses are interchangeable between the two navigational lights and the clear forward light. The lens that I need is for the forward light. I made a mold with clay and cast one in epoxy using the lens from one of the navigation lights as a pattern, then routed out a void for the lamp...this has worked pretty well except that the material is an amber color and not clear. This should work until I can find a glass replacement.

Thanks for the response.
