Does anyone know where I can find one? J. Gardner shows one in the profile view of the Swampscott dory I'm building. The pulley is mouned on top of the CB trunk to run the line that raises and lowers the centerboard back to a cleat. I've looked at the Bristol Bronze catalog and at the websites of all the supplier that Steward lists in the back of his book. No luck yet. Any suggestions? I'd like it to be bronze if possible.

Jim,
Yes, something basically like that. How's your German? I can't make my way through their webpage very easily with the language barrier!
OK, I found the item on their site (glad they have pictures). What are the dimensions of the base? Here's the text:
Rollenkasten (DL-Nr. 9415 und DL-Nr. 9416)
zum Einbauen in Schanz, Deck o.ä.; Bronze poliert. Lieferbar in 2 Größen und jeweils mit 1 oder 2 Scheiben, komplett mit Gegenplatte.
Scheiben B/D: 12/20 mm, Kasten: 41 x 70 mm, Stegtiefe: 12 mm, 1-scheibig , Gewicht ca. 138 g
Anyone?

Mein Deutsch is bad enough to start an international incident. I'd try email or phone. Time difference from EDT is 5 hrs.

Purchasing a sheave from a local chandlery and fabricating your own would be a simple matter.
The ones referred to are for boards weighing hundreds of pounds. Your board will weigh 20 pounds at the most.
Simply bushing the sheave's shaft in stock bronze bushings mortised into the case sides will last as long as the boat.

I wrote Bristol Bronze yesterday, and they responded that they just added this very item to their line, but haven't had it illustrated or placed in the catalog yet. They write:
The fitting is a fixed block that mounts to the top of the centerboard box with four screws. The sheave is held captive inside a curved hood. The sheave changes the direction of the centerboard pennant rom vertical to horizontal. The fitting in question is our part number BB5699 and sells for $55.00."
