Seriously though there was a very detailed article her about her a while back, I'm not sure which magazine and it may have been our August Hosts, but the working out of the rowing geometry was a major, and involved the building of several full sized models.
There are a LOT of people crammed into that thing. I'd imagine that if one man caught a crab the whole thing would stagger to a halt.

It's okay with me if we try to remake Greek triremes, but that ship has a wicked big hump. I suppose some of the originals did too.

Several Bronze rams carried by triremes have been recovered from the site of the battle of Salamis. This one is in the Israeli national maritime museum.

Flat sheer, so you've seeing the curve of the rail as if the ship has been hogged.

That casting is pretty amazing for any time really.
