Where can I find 1/4" bronze plate? Also I'd like to find a working bronze fitted compass that will mount to a bulkhead.

For the bronze try Atlas Metal Sales, http://www.atlasmetal.com/

I'm sure there must be some marine salvage yards that could set you up with the compass. Its a bit of a long shot but you also might check Island Marine Instrument Co. They had a nice display of rebuilt instruments at the wooden boat festival in Port Townsend this fall. www.islandmarineinst.com (http://www.islandmarineinst.com)

Good Luck

Try: Alaskan Copper and Brass Company @ www.alascop.com. (http://www.alascop.com.) They have outlets in Seattle, Portland and Vancouver and can probably supply you with any type of non-ferrous product imaginable, including 1/4 bronze plate. I have dealt with them in the past and found them to have the best prices around. Big outfit, but will take small orders.

Hope that helps,
Don.
