That was crazy badass! And in a C-boat, no less. Awesome!

Did you guys catch the remains of his paddle floating by at ~2:30? How's that for a f*** y**? :d

Decked canoe, that was a C-1. Single person canoe. Boater kneels and uses a single blade paddle, unlike a kayak where one is sitting and using a double blade paddle.

It's a torture device - The victim is forced to kneel so as to cut off the blood supply to the lower legs.

Six to eight minutes is about the limit.

Well played by that fellow. Could this be the beginning of a new sport?

No kidding. I suppose they have saddle-seats these days. My old one had a molded seat as part of the cockpit rim and only about six inches clearance under it for your legs. It was pretty terrifying if you needed to get out. Even so, when doing rolls you were usually about half-way toward falling out - not enough to actually get out, but just enough to blow the roll if it wasn't flawless and get tangled up in the seat and knee straps.

He handled those stoppers pretty well without being turned completely broadside and dumped.
