As a 12 year old I watched two ex WW2 commandos deal with a group of aggressive drunks at a football match. They weren't so gentle.

Well done, Swedish guys.

A friend was holidaying on a beach in Israel a couple of decades ago, when a young thief with a knife tried to rob her and her companions. Who were ex IDF members, and very nonchalantly took away the kid's knife and sent him away. Apparently he came back a few minutes later, all apologetic, and politely asked for his knife back ... they laughed, said "no" and kept on sunbathing.

Here's another interesting take on deescalating a situation, it's Snack Man to the rescue.

My brother was a Metro driber for 30 years? He once had two "tough guys" pull knives on each other. A mountain-sized Samoan guy got between them and told them to sit the fusk down.

They did.

He told them to shut the fusk up.

They did.

He told my brother to keep driving.

He did.

It seems to have been handled pretty well.

People subject to arrest tend to get pissed. Or maybe they get pissed and then are subject to arrest. LOL

Cops, in my experience, are okay with how they do their job. Here in the U.S. anyway.
Submit and they won't have to pull their club or their gun. A generally noble profession.
