Comes in all styles. What's currently gripping you? I can't get this out of my head.

Silly Wizard! Evry time I hear Andy Stewart's singing, I'm gone for days. Thanks Captain. Here's the one that I can never get out of my head. Herself used to have me sing it to her to get to sleep, even though her hair was once a lovely auburn, and has recently turned an even more lovely silver.

Huge Silly Wizard fan here, and I've done a few of their tunes over the years. If you like them, you'd be well advised to look for Relativity's two albums, of which I think the first has the slight advantage; Relativity is the Cunningham brothers from Silly Wizard with Mícheál Ó Domhnaill and Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill of the Bothy Band etc. It's a truism that six Celtic musicians in a room equals at least eight bands, but Relativity is truly a supergroup.

Silly Wizard was a great band!

Last night I saw Jez Lowe, James Keelaghan and Archie Fisher together in a house concert that seats 35 people. Great night!

Oystagirl's off to Ontario shortly to see them. I gather this may be Archie's last hurrah on this side of the pond.

No! Is he not well? The crowd sung along to his songs regardless of being invited. They knew them all.

No! Is he not well?

Reasonably hale as far as I know, but he's 75 and has to be slowing down. Oystagirl knows Archie and I'm pretty sure she told me he talked about this year being his last year of touring in North America.

The sound that Sarah Chang gets out of her violin. Instant bad mood killer.

I surely will.

And you should check out Julie Fowlis, the Gaelic singer from the island of North Uist, in the Outer Hebrides. You might have heard some of here other work — she did the soundtrack for the Disney/Pixar film Brave ("http://youtu.be/PAD_E1kaYuY).

Damn, I'll say. Thanks for that, I'll be picking up a few of her albums I think.

Not sure how well known this guy is on the other side of the pond but guitar-lovers might like him.
Can't find high quality footage of this gig anywhere but his playing makes up for it i think.
