If anyone out there wants a 22 square metre for free we've got one in Scotland. Just the hull left and the iron ballast keel. A west coast B boat, so she's seaworthy, but of course a very wet boat in waves. Built as a lottery boat at Karlstad in 1931 to a Tore Holm design, was number S168 and called Mimosa at one point, she sailed to Edinburgh in 1936 and was afloat until the early 1970s. More recently called Ingrid. We rescued her some years ago from a garden where she had been left uncovered for over 20 years, all the mahogany was gone, but the Swedish pine skin survived. What's left is a hull still in shape and the right to call her the original Tore Hom once rebuilt. I went to the Sjohistorkamuseet in Stockholm a few years ago and couldn't find her plans, but those of her sisters are there and it would be a dawdle to put her together again. Anyone interested can be assured of a really nice welcome in Scotland and any help needed at this end.

That would be this boat:

Sk 22 boatlist (http://www.sk22.nu/S168)

the cost of transporting a boat to Sweden from Scotland makes it hard for us in Sweden to justify a homecoming of that boat, the B series is a lot cheaper then the later sq models in Sweden, I really hope that anyone starts working on Ingrid!

My in-laws are in Glasgow, but I doubt they'd be too impressed with an unannouced boat showing up at their doorstep.

best of luck, its a beautiful boat.

Yes Robin

I know the cost involved, I have just brought a Swedish boat back to Scotland, it took a week of careful driving and ferry fares etc, but is possible.

I will continue to advertise Ingrid in boats for free and hope she finds a good home.
