OK, It's time to unload the vire 12, and in it's place I want to put a 1 cylinder or 2 cylinder small diesel.
larger engines were just covered. where can we get our hands on a small diesel. like under 16 HP or so?
thanks ahead of time

My personal favourite is the "Lister" made in England. There are one and two cylinder models. They were common in navy lifeboats during the 40's and 50's. they are bulletproof.

It seems there's a lot of that size in the used marine/surplus/consignment stores, at least here in the NW. I saw a pretty good looking 2 cyl. Universal minus the trans for $500 and an unusually good looking Albin twin for about the same amount, both diesels of course. Lots of people want more power, so the smaller engines are around if you're looking for used ones. Maybe call some shops that do a lot of repowers and see what they may have taken out that's still good. Or step up and spens $5,000 for that new Yanmar!
