Anybody know how/where I can buy 3 Italian Euro
10 cent peices (the ones with Boticelli's Venus).
I want one to go under my mast, and my wife would
like two for herself (earings Im guessing).
I did a search and only found sets of all the
coins.I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy three sets to get three dimes , or travel to Italy
for thirty cents worth of change. ;)
If anybody knows someone who may sell such a thing
I would be greatfull for that info...Thanks!

Late 70's, I'm driving from Nice to Zurich, through Italy, after a couple of weeks of vacation. I stopped at a rest area on the Italian side of the border with Switzerland, walked in to use the facilities, past an old lady who was selling her change...tips she got for tending to the facilities. I thought her sign was cute, offering Italian coinage, by weight, 17:1 for Swiss money, and 20:1 for American.
I went in to pee, and as I stood at the trough, she came in and made a point of cleaning my trough, while it was being used. She whispered "25:1" and disappeared.
I finished my business, and walked back out and looked at her offerings. I picked up a bag of change that probably weighed 25#, looked through it and saw it was a good mix of denominations. I offered her a $100 bill for it, and she grinned a mile wide and thanked me as she took my bill.
I sold the bag to a bank at the airport in Zurich for $400 American.
Win-win.
