The stainless on the bow of this boat, do these have to be fabricated at home or is there a place that sells things like this?

Its the sort of thing that a specialist marine fabricator would make to order for the builder. A talented metalworker might make one at home, given the facilities.I have seen a number of boats that use a similar type of protection to preserve the edges of the transom.Boats as well built as your example deserve a bit of protection.

Yeah, because of the rough concrete lanch ramps and rough windy conditions I launch in, my Diablo takes a constant beating especially up front. I frequently launch by myself and have to pull the boat up on the ramp while I go park the truck. I'm always repairing the area where the stem meets the bottom of the boat.

Do you have a bronze or stainless steel half-oval mounted on the face of the stem and running down onto the bottom?

If not, half-oval would be much cheaper/easier than the fancy cutwater like you find on runabouts.

not to state the obvious, but have you checked yards (backyards and boatyards) for old rotting hulls? Stainless and bronze'll last forever.
