I may as well sleep in my clothes tonight

gonna need to get up a couple of times and stoke the fires

    down to 8 degrees now
The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.
Personal failures are too important to be trusted to others.

Over 30c here, hot and very humid. We have a monsoon system over us that had it's origins in the Bay of Bengal. Spectacular lightning, thunder and sheets of rain for hours last night and it's working up to the same again this arvo with a thick cumulus layer over us again.

Is that normal for where you are? I thought you stayed mostly above freezing.
Stay calm, be brave....wait for the signs. Possibly precariously prevaricating.
